Joining Impact-Geo in 2014, Dan offers more than 35 years of combined government and private experience - over 22 years as an environmental scientist and energy regulatory specialist at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, followed by over two years permitting National Ecological Observatory Network (NEON) observatory project sites, and preceded by 11+ years of experience in oil and gas exploration as a geologist and seismic geophysicist.
Over the past two years Dan's work at NEON included obtaining environmental and use permits with multiple federal and state agencies for NEON observatory sites. During his 22 years at EPA, Dan’s work focused on injection well permitting and environmental regulations related to energy development, including hydraulic fracturing, carbon sequestration, CBM development, in-situ uranium mining, underground fluid waste disposal, and aquifer exemptions.
Dan can provide our clients with the know-how to overcome multifaceted challenges of permitting complex projects, and make a difference when applying his insights and expertise with the regulatory and business aspects of energy permitting and development.
